Screaming Eagles Complex and Aquatic Center Open House Event

The University is holding an open house event for the Screaming Eagles Complex and Aquatic Center and a dedication of The Screaming Eagle sculpture on Thursday, September 16th from 4 to 6 p.m.

The event is scheduled to take place outdoors in the new plaza located between the former PAC and the Screaming Eagles Arena and will include a brief program, outdoor concessions and small group tours of the new facilities. The USI community, as well as media and the general public, are invited to attend.

Summer Research Work Brings Confidence to USI Biology Student 

Elissa Tam '22, a student taking Dr. Alex Champagne's independent research course, spends all summer working on looking at lipids in alligator skin.

Engineering Students restore access to West Virginia Family (through Engineers in Action)

USI's chapter of Engineers in Action (EIA) spent two weeks in West Virginia this summer designing and constructing a bridge for the Nichols Family.

USI civil engineering, electrical engineering programs receive ABET accreditation

The Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) programs offered through the Pott College of Science, Engineering, and Education at the University of Southern Indiana have been accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.

USI hidden treasure brings about change to Eastern Bluebird Population

The 38 bird boxes scattered on USI trails since 1972 have helped increase the Eastern Bluebird population in the Evansville area.

James Wallace '12 

James Wallace came to USI to pursue a degree in Radio and Television but left USI with a degree in geology. His time at USI impacted his critical thinking skills that would allow him to make a career pivot from geologist to data scientist.


Josh Dudek '19

Josh Dudek made USI his home by becoming involved in campus life and the Pott College Student Campus Community.  His involvement at USI gave him the confidence to continue his education and leadership endeavors at his optometry school.
