Stop by the table in UC East to learn more about campus wellness resources and ways you can stay healthy. 

1/25 – HIV Testing - 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. in UC 226/227

Free and confidential HIV testing offered in partnership with AIDS Resource Group Evansville. Testing requires a quick cheek swab and results will be ready in 20 minutes. No appointments necessary – just drop by!

1/30 - The Role of Self-Care in Stress Management (presentation during University Division's Student Success Week) - 3:00-3:30 p.m. in UC 2206

Incorporating regular self-care practices into our daily lives is necessary for self-preservation and managing stress. This presentation will help students define self-care, understand how self-care contributes to holistic wellness, and identify strategies to incorporate more self-care practices into their busy schedules.

1/31 - I am Jane Doe Film Screening & Panel Discussion - 5:30 p.m. in Mitchell Auditorium 

January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month. The USI Sexual Assault & Gender Violence Prevention group will host a free film screening of I am Jane Doe followed by a panel discussion with local experts. Free popcorn! 

February:

2/1- The Role of Self-Care in Stress Management (presentation during University Division's Student Success Week) - 1:30-2:00 p.m. in UC 2218

Stop by the table in UC West to learn about the importance of social and community connection in wellness. 

2/26 - Self-Defense Class - 5:00-7:00 p.m. in RFWC 115 (RSVP Required!)

Learn basic self-defense techniques to enhance confidence and personal safety. This class is taught by the Princeton Police Department. RSVP Required! E-mail cchampagne@usi.edu by 2/22 to sign up! 

2/28 - Safe Spring Break Fair - 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in UC East 

Pick up everything you need to have a safe and fun spring break! Stop by UC East for wellness related activities and giveaways from campus and community partners.

3/27 - De-Stress Fest - 3-5 p.m. in RFW Quiet Lounge

Drop by the Quiet Lounge to make a craft, relax with coloring, and pick up free stress management resources. 

April:

4/10 - Walk a Mile in her Shoes - 5 p.m. in Carter Hall

Join the USI Sexual Assault & Gender Violence Prevention Group for the 12th annual Walk a Mile in her Shoes, solidarity march to end sexual violence. Prominent male leaders from the Evansville and USI community will pledge to end sexual violence. People of all genders and ages are welcome to participate in the program and march around campus.  

4/17 - Be Rested - Make your own sleep mask - 3-5 p.m. in Housing and Residence Life Office Fishbowl 

One of the most important things you can do to succeed on your exams is to get enough sleep! During this program, you will learn about healthy sleep habits and have the opportunity to make your own no-sew eye pillow for sleep and relaxation (while supplies last). Drop by anytime!
