USI menís basketball moves to fifth in latest regional poll
The University of Southern Indiana menís basketball team moved to fifth in the latest Great Lakes Regional poll. The Screaming Eagles (20-6 overall, 13-5 Great Lakes Valley Conference) were ranked seventh in last weekís poll, but won two games a week ago and received help with losses by Northern Kentucky University and Hillsdale College.
From the GLVC, top-ranked Kentucky Wesleyan College remained in the top spot of the region while NKU and Lewis University were ranked seventh and eighth, respectively. NKU was ranked fifth in the last poll.
The top six teams in the final regional poll will receive NCAA Division II Tournament bids.
USI will travel to Bellarmine University tomorrow night before ending its regular season this Saturday, February 23, at KWC. The Eagles are in a three-way tie for second in the GLVC, with Lewis and NKU, but hold the tiebreaker.
