USI travels to Michigan Tech for NCAA II Great Lakes Regional
Event to Take Place March 14, 15 & 17
HOUGHTON, Mich. Michigan Tech will host the 2003 Men's Basketball NCAA Great Lakes Regional at the Student Development Complex Gym this weekend. The eight-team event will consist of three rounds: the quarterfinals on Friday (March 14), the semifinals on Saturday (March 15) and the final on Monday (March 17).
The top-seeded Huskies (28-2) will play eighth-seeded Indianapolis (18-10) in the 5 p.m. (CT) game on Friday, with the winner taking on the #4 Lewis/#5 Southern Indiana victor in Saturday's second semifinal at 6:30 p.m. (CT). The championship game is slated for Monday at 6 p.m. (CT).
The winner of each of the eight regions from around the nation will meet in the Elite Eight in Lakeland, Fla., on March 26-29.
Tickets for the 2003 NCAA Great Lakes Regional are now on sale at the SDC Ticket Office (906-487-2073). Reserved seats come in a $32 package for all four sessions. Adult general admission seating is $6 per session. Students ages five and older are $4 each, while children under five are free.
MTU season ticket holders will have until the end of the day Wednesday (March 12) to purchase their seats.

Session 1: Friday, March 14 - Quarterfinals

1:30 p.m. Game 2 - #2 Kentucky Wesleyan (26-3) vs. #7 Gannon (20-9)
Session 2: Friday, March 14 - Quarterfinals
5:00 p.m. Game 3 - #1 Michigan Tech (28-2) vs. #8 Indianapolis (18-10)
7:30 p.m. Game 4 - #4 Lewis (23-7) vs. #5 Southern Indiana (23-6)
Session 3: Saturday, March 15 - Semifinals
4:00 p.m. Game 5 - Game 1 winner vs. Game 2 winner
6:30 p.m. Game 6 - Game 3 winner vs. Game 4 winner
Session 4: Monday, March 17 - Final
6:00 p.m. Game 7 - Game 5 winner vs. Game 6 winner
