USI menís basketball finishes exhibition season on Saturday
The University of Southern Indiana menís basketball team will finish its 2001-02 exhibition schedule on Saturday, November 10, when it hosts Pella Windows for a 7:30 p.m. contest.
The Screaming Eagles are coming off an 89-81 victory over the Tornatta Stars last Saturday. Evansville native and senior guard Wes Attebury led the way with 21 points, 16 coming in the second half.
The Saturday exhibition game will see senior forward Marlowe Currie (St. Louis, Missouri) return to action. The senior, who missed the game with the Tornatta Stars with an eye injury, led USI in scoring a year ago with 17.0 ppg and 7.6 rpg.
Pella Windows won its first game of the year, defeating Western Illinois University 72-59. Guard Antiony Hardin led Pella Windows with 18 points and seven rebounds, while forward Cedrick McCullough added 13 points and grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds. Pella Windows will play Indiana State University on Friday, November 9, before playing the Eagles on Saturday.
