Stuckman earns Player of the Month honorable mention,
Eagles move to seventh in national poll

University of Southern Indiana women’s basketball sophomore forward Jessica Stuckman earned Division II Bulletin “Player of the Month” honorable mention for the month of January. Stuckman averaged 18.4 points and 8.0 rebounds per game and led the Eagles to a 6-1 record in the first 31 days of the year.

The Quincy, Illinois native earned Great Lakes Valley Conference “Player of the Week” honors after averaging 19.0 points and 10.0 rebounds in a pair of GLVC road victories at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and Saint Joseph’s College. Stuckman, who ranks 10th in the nation in scoring, scored at least 20 points in three of the seven contests, including a game-high 35 points against sixth-ranked Northern Kentucky University.

USI also got some good news from the USA Today/ESPN/WBCA Division II Coaches Poll. The Screaming Eagles moved to seventh in the new poll.

Stuckman and the Eagles will travel to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville tomorrow and Lewis University Saturday, February 9. Tomorrow’s game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. and Saturday’s contest is scheduled for 1 p.m.
