Academic Skills offers a variety of tutoring programs for students at the University of Southern Indiana. Our peer tutors and academic coaches complete comprehensive training and are certified through the National Tutoring Association.
Beginning Fall 2020, to maintain physical distancing and room occupancy limits, an appointment is needed for most in-person tutoring. To schedule an individual, in-person tutoring session in Academic Skills, use Tutortrack in MyUSI. The icon looks like this:
If you need assistance with this process, view the PowerPoint or call our desk (812/464-1743; Mondays-Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
To schedule an individual online tutoring appointment, send an email to Online.Tutoring@usi.edu at least 48 hours (not including weekends or holidays) in advance of the requested session. In the message, request 2-3 possible appointment times, the class for which you would like assistance, and an overview of the content/information for which you would like to cover during the session. You will receive a confirmation email. For online sessions, you will need computers with internet along with webcam and audio capabilities.
