Event details The Global Salon Series kicks off the 2013 spring semester with Dr. Matthew Hanka, assistant professor of political science, and Dr. Ethel Elkins, instructor in health services, Wednesday, January 30, in the Traditions Lounge in University Center East. Hanka will present “Amsterdam: The Ideal City” at 1 p.m. Elkins will present “Crossing Boarders: Learning from Each Other” at 2 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. The goal of the Global Salon Series is to provide a forum for students to gain an appreciation for the value of international opportunities and potential careers.
