Please join the Art Department in welcoming artist and curator
Casey Roberts for a demonstration and lecture on his work this Thursday, February 28.
Mr. Roberts creates paintings with an old photographic process, the cyanotype, which he then bleaches, tones, and manipulates to create fantasy landscapes that subtly address human-nature interactions. These works have been shown though out the country, including the Elmhurst Art Museum and the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art. He has received the prestigious Efroymson Contemporary Arts Fellowship and an Ox-Bow Residency. Mr. Roberts also co-curates Mt. Comfort Gallery in Indianapolis.
Mr. Roberts will demonstrate his technique in a workshop at 1:30-3:30 in TC119, then speak about and show his work in Kleymeyer Hall at 6PM.
