Army ROTC at the University of Southern Indiana is proud to announce the 20th annual Norwegian Foot March in partnership with Dr. Nils Johansen and the Norwegian Military!
This years event will be held on November 16, 2024. Registration for this year's event will open in early June.
The Norwegian Foot March is an 18.6 mile foot march while carrying a 25 pound ruck sack. Participants have no more than 4.5 hours to finish. Those who complete the event to standard will earn the Norwegian Foot March pin.
Weight is based on non-perishable items. See Rules and Safety tab. Participants are encouraged to pack 25 pounds of non perishable food items to be collected by the Student Veteran's Association at check out and donated to local food banks.
The event is made possible through the support of the University of Southern Indiana, its faculty, the USI Student Veterans Association and the students of Eagle Company of Wabash Battalion Army ROTC.
Timeline:
06 NOV: Letter to Participants sent via email. The LTP will let participants know where the event is on campus, where to park, which heat they are assigned, and other administrative information.
15 NOV: Early Check-in, 1800-2100
16 NOV:
Check- in, 0430-0615
