The University of Southern Indiana Multicultural Center presents the annual "Live at the Apollo," student talent show featuring songs, poetry, stand-up comedy and many other creative acts. The 2014 USI Live at the Apollo: A Campus Wide Talent Revue will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2014, in Carter Hall in the University Center West.

Guests are invited to view the performances and cheer for their favorite acts. The event is free and open to the public. However, USI students are encouraged to show a student ID.

This year's show features 19 acts, and students will compete for cash prizes as groups or individuals in four divisions:

Cash prizes ranging from $100 to $300 will be awarded to first, second and third place winners in both individual and group categories.

The event will be hosted by Nino NCognito, a USI alum and on-air personality at 106.1 KISS FM. Several of last year's winners will be returning with exciting new acts including Lauren Prazeau, who will be doing a comedy routine, and Briante Melton and Morgan Naylor, who will be competing in the Group Artistic Performance category with a poetry piece.

There also will be several newcomers including freshman Cassandra Roper, who will do a rendition of Jazmine Sullivan's song, "In Love with Another Man," and Antonio King, who will sing John Legend's "This Time." Alexander Hamilton will perform various songs on electric guitar during a piece called "Jammon'."
