Research Interests
My research interests focus on the area of stereotyping and prejudice and incorporates several other domains of social psychology, including the self, self-regulation, social cognition, attitudes, and attitude change. More specifically, my research concerns the consequences of stereotypes, prejudice, and prejudice reduction strategies. As society is increasingly diversifying, I am compelled to better understand the ways in which people can be less biased toward others. This involves examining both intrapersonal and interpersonal factors that influence people when prejudice reduction techniques are employed. Furthermore, my research includes the examination of these issues from both the perspective of minority and majority group members.
