Laura Soderberg is an Assistant Professor of English at USI. Her research appears in journals such as American Literature and American Quarterly. In 2021, the University of Massachusetts Press published her book, Vicious Infants: Dangerous Childhoods in Antebellum U.S. Literature, exploring marginalized childhoods in American literature through the lenses of race and politics. Soderberg's interdisciplinary approach enriches discussions on cultural narratives and societal dynamics, reflecting her commitment to rigorous scholarship and innovative teaching in American literature studies.
