About the Expert

Nicholas Rhew is an Assistant Professor of Management at USI. He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and political science with minors in art history and international studies from the University of Evansville. He received his MBA from USI and his doctorate in management from the University of Memphis. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in strategic management and international business. Rhew has also led more than 100 students on study abroad programs to China, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom and Ireland. His research topics include work in management education, well-being, political corruption and cross-border mergers and acquisitions.  

He has published or presented more than 50 peer-reviewed projects and has served as an associate editor for both the Journal of Management Education and Management Teaching Review. His research projects have been awarded by the Academy of International Business, the British Academy of Management, the Southeast Decision Sciences Institute and Southeast INFORMS. In 2016, he received the Management and Organizational Behavior Teaching Society’s New Educator Award, an international award that recognizes an early-career individual who has demonstrated promise though research, teaching and service to improve how management is taught.
