Back-to-school reminders: Traffic and Parking Regulations

As the campus preps for the beginning of the 2024 Fall Semester, USI Today is sharing reminders and helpful information in regards to University policies and benefits for employees! Please take the time to re-familiarize yourself with these policies as the campus community prepares for the beginning of the academic year.

USI Public Safety - Traffic and Parking Regulations

There have been several updates to the University Traffic and Parking Regulations for Fall 2024. These changes include: 

A single parking permit decal for all Housing and Residence Life residents. Residents may park in any parking area requiring an HRL resident permit. 

Regulations pertaining to personal conveyances have been updated to reflect current Indiana Code. Personal conveyances include bicycles, scooters and skateboards—manually and electrically operated.

Lot O will be open parking (it was previously resident-parking only). 

All employees are not only encouraged but required to read and comply with the traffic and parking regulations. The updated regulations—as well as information regarding the citation appeal process—can be found at USI.edu/public-safety/parking.
