Medical Humanities Minor Overview

The Medical Humanities minor not only prioritizes the development of analytical, critical thinking, and research skills to empower students across various disciplines but also fosters cross-cultural understanding, empathy, and creativity. While pre-professional (e.g., pre-medicine, pre-dentistry, pre-pharmacy) and health professions (e.g., nursing, occupational therapy, radiologic and imaging science) students typically engage in data gathering, research, and analysis to prepare for their careers, the ethical analysis emphasized by humanistic approaches enriches their learning experience in invaluable ways.
