Biophysics Concentration Overview

Important Program Update

The Biophysics major is transitioning to a Biophysics concentration within the Physics major. Current students declared in the Biophysics major may complete their degree as planned. Students wishing to enter the standalone Biophysics major must start the program by January 11, 2027. After that date, all new students will be admitted to the Biophysics concentration within the Physics major.

The Biophysics program at USI provides comprehensive training in physics, biology, chemistry, and math, equipping you for various paths, including medical school, graduate studies, and research and development opportunities.
