Students in the Acting Concentration at USI train in a rigorous eight-semester sequence of classes based on a variety of techniques, from Stanislavski technique to the movement-based work of Frantic Assembly. Courses include Voice and Diction, Scene Study, Acting in Period Style and Acting for the Modern Stage. Senior year culminates with “Acting as a Business” to prepare students to work and thrive after leaving USI. While at USI, acting students have the opportunity to work with and learn from professional actors each year in one main stage production.
