Cultural Connections Week provides new and existing students with an opportunity to connect with their fellow students during the first week of the fall semester. Each day, the MCC will host an event highlighting one of our programs and providing fun opportunities to network with peers.

College Mentors Callout Rally

College Mentors for Kids is a mentoring program that pairs college students with elementary students throughout the school year. The Callout Rally is an opportunity to learn about the program and how you can become a mentor.

Mentor Me Informational

This is a unique opportunity to be introduced to our two mentoring programs: Collegiate Men of Distinction and Women Unlocked. These programs focus on developing the whole person in the areas of goal setting, strengths discovery and leadership while matriculating through a student’s collegiate experience.

Rhythm Fest

Rhythm Fest is an energetic Welcome Week concert that kicks off the school year with music, movement, and excitement! Hosted by USI, this high-energy event features a live performance by a local artist or group, inviting students to dance, connect, and celebrate the start of a new academic journey. It's the perfect way to meet new friends, enjoy great music, and set the tone for an exciting year ahead.

MCC Cookout

Join the Multicultural Center and our student organizations in Rice Plaza for our annual Multicultural Center (MCC) Cookout. We invite staff, faculty, new and returning students, to come interact, build bridges, community and friendship. Our student organizations will be tabling to give information and recruit new students for the upcoming school year.

"Grown & Successful" New Student Assembly

It's Time to Get Real! This is your opportunity to hear from your peers and the MCC staff about what to expect and how to be successful here at USI. The Multicultural Center will host this night of mingling, food, fun and information.
