Residential students are required to sign up for a move-in time. Room keys and move-in materials will be distributed upon arrival.
4 p.m. | New Student Convocation | Liberty Arena, Home of the Screaming Eagles
5-6:30 p.m. | Family Dinner | University Center (UC)
9 a.m.–1 p.m. | Eagle Experience: Academic Success | Academic Colleges
9:30 a.m. | College Meetings | Meet faculty and other new students in your college and learn how to get involved in your major.
11:00 a.m. | Screagle Pride and Spirit | Kick off Welcome Week with your fellow classmates to learn the USI fight song, ignite your school spirit and become a Screagle in the Screaming Eagles Arena.
12:00 p.m. | Quad Photo | Meet on The Quad to take the official Class of 2030 photo!
12:10 p.m. | Lunch with Faculty | Have lunch with faculty and other new students in your college.
The 2026 Distinguished Students will be announced at the end of this year's Convocation.
New Student and Transitional Programs guides students and supporters from admission through their transition to USI with care, clarity, and connection that build confidence, community, and readiness for life at USI. Through the first six weeks of the semester, we provide inclusive orientation and welcoming experiences that support a strong start.
