"Back Home Again" features artwork by former faculty

"Back Home Again: Recent Works by Former Art Faculty," part of the University of Southern Indiana's 50th anniversary celebration, will be on display June 1 through August 31 at the McCutchan Art Center/Pace Galleries, located in the lower level of the Liberal Arts Center on the USI campus. 

The exhibit will feature the artwork of 23 past USI Art Department faculty members, and will encompass a wide variety of media, including ceramics, painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, woodworking, batik and jewelry by Jason Galligan-Baldwin, Eric Braysmith,
 Mark Brendel,
 Jack Cascione, Anne Dowhie, Lenny Dowhie, Joe D'Uva, Dan Engelke, Alison Erazmus, Monte Helm, Stephen Herron, William Kirtley, William Leth, Melody Lewis-Kane, John McNaughton, James Parrent, Anita Powell, Carolyn Roth, Karen Stansberry, Curtis Uebelhor, Christopher Walker, Connie Weinzapfel and Summer Zickenfoose. 

"All of these previous University of Southern Indiana, formerly Indiana State University Evansville, art department educators have contributed greatly to the success of our over 1,100 art graduates, and the many thousands of students who took art courses from them at USI," said Kathryn Waters, professor of art.

A closing reception in celebration of the artists will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, August 27, in the McCutchan Art Center/Pace Galleries. The reception and the exhibit are free and open to the public. The McCutchan Art Center/Pace Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
