A "Supernatural" art exhibit to come to New Harmony


The New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary Art is continuing to celebrate its 40th anniversary with a "Supernatural" exhibit. "Supernatural" is curated by Paula Katz, executive director at the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art, and is free and open to the public.

"Supernatural" will be on display at the New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary Art June 6 to July 17. This exhibition presents a variety of concepts and takes on the subject of the supernatural as depicted in popular culture. Through earnest explorations, humorous takes and conceptually oriented works, this show presents works in a variety of media including painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture and video.  

This exhibition features local, regional, national and international artists: Brett Anderson, Lesley Baker, Max Boschini, Emily Budd, Josiah Cazares, Richard Cutshall, Dominic Guarnaschelli, Gary Logan Hobdy, Sean Hoisington, Robert Horvath, Arpád Horváth, Christy Jochum, Sarah Kasch, Heather Landry, Laura Levine, Erich Neitzke, Quincy Owens and Luke Crawley, Andrew Davis, Stefan Petranek, Aaron Pierce, Steven Sickles, Kalli Stylianides, Ingrid Ung, Simon Welch and Kristen Wilkins.

A reception for "Supernatural" will be held at the New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary Art from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 11, during the final weekend of the New Harmony Music School and Festival.

The New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary Art is an outreach partner of the University of Southern Indiana. The gallery is located at 506 Main Street in New Harmony, Indiana.
