USI art majors display work at Senior Seminar Exhibition
November 9, 2015
Forty-eight senior art majors are displaying their creative work at the 2015 Senior Seminar Exhibition, November 9 to December 2, in the Kenneth P. McCutchan Art Center/Palmina F. and Stephen S. Pace Galleries, located in the lower lever of the Liberal Arts Center, on the USI campus. The exhibit features 145 examples of the students' work in a diverse array of media, including digital graphic and interactive media works, painting, sculpture, ceramics, drawings, prints and jewelry.
There will be a reception for the student artists from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, November 15. Light refreshments will be served and the reception is open to the public. The exhibit is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday - Friday and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
The senior art and design seminars are capstone courses for art majors and combine discussion of current aesthetic issues in the visual arts with practical knowledge in career or graduate school preparation as well as evaluation of student artistic growth and potential.
