New Harmony Theatre continues season with musical I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change

New Harmony Theatre continues its 2016 summer season with I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, with book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music by Jimmy Roberts, running July 8-10 and 15-17. The show is directed by Elliot Wasserman, producing artistic director and chair of Performing Arts at the University of Southern Indiana. In a series of vignettes, the musical takes us through the wacky world of love and relationship, from first date, to marriage, through child rearing and beyond. Audience members are certain to see some of their own romantic experiences reflected in his keenly satirical romp, but they need not tell anyone.

I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change stars Actors' Equity Association members Michael Indeglio, Erica Lustig, Kenney M. Green and Lanene Charters. The small, four-person cast plays multiple characters in varying situations. The actors are supported by choreographer Pam Atha, costume designer Shan Jensen, lighting designer Eric Cope, music director Patrick Ritsch, scenic designer Paul Weimer, sound designer Kevin Gray, and equity stage manager Brittany K. Giles-Jones. This show will contain smoke and haze effects.

Tickets are on sale now. All evening performances start at 7:30 p.m. and matinees begin at 2 p.m. Tickets are $35 for adults, $33 for seniors (60 and over), and $12 for those 25 or younger. All performances take place at Murphy Auditorium, 419 Tavern Street, New Harmony, Indiana. The summer season will come to a close with Ken Ludwig's The Fox on the Fairway, July 22-24 and 29-31.
