Phenomenal Women Class of 2022 to be celebrated at recognition ceremony

The University of Southern Indiana Multicultural Center will honor the 2022 Class of Phenomenal Women of USI and the Community at a recognition ceremony at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 29 in Carter Hall, located in University Center West on campus. Doors open at 6 p.m., and hors d'oeuvres will be served. The program will begin at 6:30 p.m., and a RSVP is required to attend.  

Melissa (Morehead) Moore will deliver a keynote speech at the ceremony. A graduate of Bosse High School and a former member of the United States Navy, Moore's mission is to empower and encourage individuals and be highly effective with assignments in and around the Evansville community. She sits on the Board of Directors for Legal Aid Society, Evansville Aids Resource Group, Carver Board and EVSC Foundation, and is involved in several other facets of the community, including serving as the voice of "Community Chat" on 98.5 FM WEOA, under the leadership of Dr. JC Campbell of Greater Hope Church in Evansville, Indiana, as a licensed minister and more.

Phenomenal Women honors and celebrates women who have made contributions to diversity at USI and in the community at large. Through honor and recognition, the program hopes to inspire others to embrace and promote diversity within their own lives and the lives of others around them.
