USI student talent to be showcased at annual Live at the Apollo event October 29

The University of Southern Indiana Multicultural Center is set to host its annual Live at the Apollo event at 6 p.m. Saturday, October 29 in the USI Performance Center. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the event is open to the public at no charge. USI students are encouraged to check in with their Eagle Access Cards. 

Students carefully chosen from an application process will perform and showcase their talent in a variety of categories including: 

Participating students will be judged on crowd involvement, originality and overall presentation. Individual and group acts will be selected to perform at the event.  

Cash prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place winners in both individual and group categories. A cash prize will also be awarded to the best Lip Sync Dance performance. 

"The Multicultural Center is so excited to be back at full capacity since the pandemic, and even more special is the opportunity to hold the event in USI’s Performance Center,” says Jada Hogg, Outreach Coordinator and Student Mentor for the Multicultural Center. “We have so many talented students here on campus, and we are hoping they all register for the event. We hope even more students come out to support.”
