Two student-run University of Southern Indiana media outlets, The Shield and 95.7 The Spin, will have new leadership during the 2025-26 academic year.
Alex Mendoza, a sophomore journalism major, will serve as Editor-in-Chief for The Shield, USI’s independent student-run newspaper.

The Shield is a designated student forum, and students are responsible for all reporting, writing, photography, editing, designing and ad sales.
