Help identify outstanding Orientation Leader candidates
October 3, 2025
As the campus prepares for the upcoming orientation season, New Student and Transitional Programs is seeking your help in identifying students who would make exceptional Orientation Leaders (OLs). These student leaders play a vital role in welcoming new students, fostering connection and setting the tone for a vibrant campus experience.
USI employees are invited to recommend students who embody the following qualities:
- Empathy and Active Listening
- Authenticity and Warmth
- Strong Communication Skills
- Reliability and Responsibility
- Team Collaboration
- Adaptability and Problem Solving
- Campus Knowledge and Pride
- Leadership Potential
Nominees must be full-time students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 from most recent academic experience.
Once recommendations are submitted, New Student and Transitional Programs staff will reach out to those students directly to encourage them to apply. Your insight and support are invaluable in helping us build a dynamic, welcoming team of Orientation Leaders.
Thank you for helping us empower student leaders and shape an unforgettable orientation experience!
