Donate a gift basket and impact a student through the annual Administrative Assistants and Associates Auction

USI Administrative Assistants and Associates is currently gathering themed basket donations for their upcoming silent auction.

Thanks to the generosity of the USI and Evansville communities, more than $3,000 was raised in 2025!  A portion of the proceeds from the auction goes towards funding three student scholarships.

Carol Blair, coordinator of the silent auction, encourages USI departments to contribute resources and money towards putting together a specially curated basket. The departmental baskets gathered $1,000 in the auction, a third of all the proceeds raised. Some of the baskets sponsored by departments included:

• Bookworm Basket sponsored by Rice Library

• Chocolate Lovers Basket sponsored by Graduate Studies,

• Birthday in a Box sponsored by the Social Work Department,

• Family Game Night Basket sponsored by the Student Financial Aid office

• Men’s and Women’s Basketball season tickets and two student fan baskets sponsored by Athletics

• Theatre tickets sponsored by the Performing Arts Department

• Kitchen Basket sponsored by Human Resources

• A Bee Basket sponsored by the Provost Office

• USI Trails Basket sponsored by the USI Trails Committee

Blair also works to gather tickets from local grocery stores, restaurants, local and national sports teams, hotels and local and regional theatres.

Administrative Assistants and Associates are taking basket donations through October 31. Baskets can be delivered to Blair in the Social Work Department offices in ED 0129. The bidding will be held between November 16-20.
