The USI Social Work Department invites the campus community and general public to a screening and panel discussion on the documentary, Human First: Beyond the Athlete, from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, in ED1101. Light refreshments will be provided. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
This documentary, produced by The Queel Foundation, follows 11 current and former athletes, sharing their personal mental health, identity and resiliency journeys. After the screening, there will be a panel discussion with former USI athletes, coaches, trainers and mental health clinicians who specialize in working with athletes. Athletes, family and friends and those who currently work with athletes or would like to in their future career are invited to attend.
