Early Career Faculty Grants

Two faculty members from the Kinney College of Nursing and Health Professions are the recipients of Early Career Faculty Grants, funded through the USI Provost’s Office for summer projects related to research or community engagement. Only full-time, tenure-track faculty members within the first five years of tenure eligibility are eligible for this grant.
Erin Parchman, Assistant Professor and Director of Clinical Education for Respiratory Therapy, received funding to participate in an international educational experience and medical outreach trip to Ghana with the University of Kansas Medical Center, May 21-June 13. Her proposal was titled, Building Ethical and Sustainable Educational Partnerships: The Value of Experiencing Integrated Global Health.
Dr. Jennifer Skelton, Assistant Professor of Health Administration and Health Informatics and Information Management, received a grant for her project, Effect on Self-Perception of Competency Using a Novel Immersive Learning Simulation to Teach the Quality Improvement (QI) Principle of Change Management.
