Wilson named Fellow of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Amy Wilson, Clinical Professor and Chair of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, was named a Fellow of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS). The new SDMS Fellow induction will be held during the SDMS Annual Conference, September 18-20 in Denver, Colorado.

Wilson has been a member of the SDMS since 2005 and has over 30 years of sonography experience. She holds a Master of Science in Education degree from the University of Southern Indiana, a Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging Technology degree and an Associate of Science in Radiologic Technology degree from Indiana University School of Medicine.

She served on the SDMS Government Relations Committee and the Education Committee, has been Director on the SDMS Board of Directors and SDMS Foundation Board of Directors and was the board liaison to the SDMS Foundation Emerging Leaders Program from 2020-2022. She currently serves as the SDMS and SDMS Foundation Secretary. She has created SDMS webinars, presented at the SDMS Annual Conference, and authored several articles published in the Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JDMS). In 2011, she received the second place Kenneth R. Gottesfeld Award for the publication of an outstanding research or review article in the JDMS.
