Six Nursing faculty members presented their scholarship and research at the Sigma Theta Tau 48th Biennial Convention in Indianapolis, November 8-10.
- Clinical Instructor Allison Schroering presented her DNP poster on "Use of Screening Tool for Pediatric Non-Accidental Trauma in a Rural Emergency Room Setting." Her mentors were Dr. Ashley Carter and Dr. Mikel Hand.
- Dr. Kristen Tobin, Assistant Professor, presented a poster, "Eat, Sleep, Console: A Quality Improvement Project."
- Dr. Charlotte Connerton, Associate Professor and Chair of RN-BSN Completion Program, and Dr. Theresa Marcotte, Assistant Professor, gave a podium presentation, "Responding with Change: Transformation from Content to Competency-Based Education." Co-authors are Dr. Ashley Carter and Dr. Susan Seibert.
- Clinical Assistant Professor Pam Thomas and Advanced Instructor Amy Pierce gave a podium presentation, "Gastrointestinal Simulation: A Learning Strategy for Nursing Students."
- Dr. Kristen Tobin, Assistant Professor, gave a podium presentation on her DNP project, "Routine Screening for Postnatal Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD in Primary Care Settings." Her mentor was Dr. Ryan Butler.
