"9 from the Nineteens" now on display in McCutchan Exhibition Space
The University Art Collection presents 9 from the Nineteens in the Kenneth P. McCutchan Exhibition Space now through June 30, 2023.
The mid-20th century ushered in an artistic renewal within the realm of fine art printmaking. Artists were exploring the limits of this medium by incorporating modern techniques of photography and digital printing with the more traditional methods of printmaking. The University Art Collection holds an impressive collection from this period, many works donated by Professor Emeritus Michael K. Aakhus through the USI Foundation.
9 from the Nineteens, shares a selection of fine art prints that date from the mid-1960s through the late 1980s.
The McCutchan Exhibition Space is located in the Byron C. Wright Administration Building near Forum I and is open to the public from 8 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Visit the USI 50th Anniversary Timeline, across from the McCutchan Exhibition Space. The timeline features a colorful collection of photographs, significant dates, logos, and other information tracking USI's 50 years of history, from its beginning as Indiana State University-Evansville in 1965 to the present.
