Homecoming Tailgate and Pep Rally and Family Weekend reservations are now closed.

Family Weekend has activities for all ages. Some of these activities require a separate entry fee, but tickets will be available for purchase through the USI Family Weekend payment and reservation portal. We encourage you to read through our activity details to find the right fit for your family this weekend! While many of our activities come and go, please note that the Paint and Sip and Prep Your Meal require on-time attendance. Come see us in the Screaming Eagles Complex for Family Weekend check-in. Here you'll receive your check-in packet filled with important information, tickets, and freebies. If you ordered shirts, we'll have those for you.

From here, we invite you to our Friday night events, Evening at the Gallery, Crafty and Cozy, and Eagles Dine Out. Click on the tabs below for more information, and take advantage of Family Weekend! 

In the mood to get active? Maybe missing a workout this weekend? Visit the REC and use our rock wall! A fan favorite in campus tours, it's your turn to challenge the wall. Grab a waiver at Family Weekend check-in.

Note: There is a 15-person limit within the rock wall climbing area. All instructions and requests made by student staff must be followed or the area will be shut down. Participants will need to complete a waiver. Thank you for your cooperation!

Kenneth P. McCutchan Art Center and Pace Galleries is happy to present Olivia Supper's Efroymson Bridge Year Fellowship Exhibit. After checking in on Friday head to the gallery for hors d'oeuvres and beverages for an enjoyable start to your Family Weekend. This is a free, come and go event.

McCutchan Art Center is attached to the Liberal Arts Building. 

Join the Ruston O'Bannon staff for a fun night of making your own tie blanket or Tie Pillow with various printed fabric options! Also, enjoy hot cocoa while relaxing with friends. Supplies are limited.  

The Center for Campus Life and the Multicultural Center bring to you "Rhythm Fest" 2023. This year's music event features our very own "Versus Battle" with St. Louis' own LaToya Wilson & Shanelle Scott. They'll be performing covers from some of the most talented artists. This event will be held on Friday, February 3rd @ 6 p.m. in USI's Performance Center. Refreshments will be served. This event is FREE and open to the public.

We encourage you to dine out with your family this weekend. Many memorable conversations happen at the dinner table. Catch up on the latest news from the first month of Spring semester or discuss the fun-filled weekend your family has planned. Regardless, we hope you take this time to bond as family. Join Public Safety officer Nathan DeVille, for an introduction to self-defense. This class will cover everything you need to know about keeping yourself safe, from general knowledge to tips and tricks. Our top priority is your safety on campus, and we want to extend our knowledge to you so you may protect yourself from anywhere in the world. 

*Note: Self-Defense 101 is not a physical class like the RAID program. If you are searching for such a course, please contact Public Safety or speak with Officer Deville after his introduction to self-defense. 

USI's Dietary and Nutrition program will hold a 15-person "meal prep" class in our university kitchens. Faculty and students will walk you through the basics of the kitchen and how to create money-saving, quick meal preps that will benefit our apartment dwellers. Each USI student will walk away with a meal prep kit to take back to their apartment.

The cost is $15 per person.

Come meet the Deans! The Deans will be offering free donuts, muffins, fruit and beverage to begin your Saturday morning. While grabbing your fuel to start the day, introduce, hang out, and joke around with our USI deans. We have many new faces on campus that would love to meet you!

Painting with a Twist will be on campus and offer two 50-person sessions on Saturday. All the fun of painting at their Evansville location, but with no driving time! We will be offering two convenient sessions for you to enjoy. Purchase tickets in the reservation portal and be sure to show up on time. No late admits.  

Cost: $20 for family member; $5 for USI Student

The Alumni Association and New Student and Transitional Programs are sponsoring the 1st Annual Homecoming Pre-Game Tailgate and Pep Rally for our D1 Men's and Women's Basketball teams on Saturday. Our pre-game will be packed with activities, including caricature artists, roaming magician, food, and games. Add your tickets at reservation time! 

While there, go see a blast from the past! USI's past that is. Jennifer Greene from the Archives will be located in the Screaming Eagles Arena Lobby with a slideshow of USI from past to present. While you watch, browse the collection Greene has chosen to represent USI on its first D1 Homecoming Event. 

Cost: $10, USI Student Free
