Welcome Week Leaders are expected to:
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all new students, encouraging attendance and participation at Welcome Week activities
- Maintain a high energy level, enthusiasm, and stamina when working long hours
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong work ethic, and maintain professionalism when working with new students
- Possess the ability to represent the University of Southern Indiana in a positive manner
- Facilitate activities with small groups of students
- Encourage attendance and participation at Welcome Week activities
- Assist with new student move-in, New Student Convocation, and Welcome Week programming, including set-up and take-down.
- Attend the Welcome Week Leader Welcome Event in April (date and time TBD), all Welcome Week trainings on August 12-13, 2024, and all Welcome Week activities from August 14-18, 2024.
Qualifications:
- Must be a full-time, undergraduate student in good academic and disciplinary standing
- Must have a 2.3 cumulative G.P.A. or above
- Must be available for training prior to Welcome Week and entire Welcome Week program (August 14-18, 2024)
- Students who are 2024 - 2025 Resident Assistants or International Orientation Leaders are ineligible to apply due to conflicting time commitments and overlapping responsibilities.

Welcome Week Leader applications are due by noon on Sunday, March 31. Interviews will be held April 2-4.
