USI announces Adult Learner Scholarship winners

USI's Division of Outreach and Engagement has awarded 12 students an Adult Learner Scholarship for the 2013-2014 academic year. Distributed yearly, the scholarship provides financial assistance to adult learners working on his or her first undergraduate degree.
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must be a current USI student and be at least 25 years of age. Winners were selected based on academic achievement, the strength of an essay about managing adult responsibilities and educational goals, and a recommendation letter from a USI faculty or staff member.
