Student Worker Appreciation Week is an opportunity for each department across campus to say Thank You to our hard working student workers for their efforts and support throughout the school year.
Student Worker Appreciation Week is March 16-March 20, 2026.
If this is your first time having a student worker in your area, or if you are looking for new ideas, look no further; we can help! Check out the ideas below!
Provide your student worker with a voucher they can use at the Campus Bookstore during Student Worker appreciation week.
Give your student worker a Certificate of Appreciation for all of their hard work.
Give your student worker a gift card or goody bag with some treats.
Decorate the office to show your appreciation for your student worker.
Throw a potluck or a pizza party for the student workers.
Or do a combination of these ideas!
Share how your department celebrated your student worker by sending pictures of the celebration to Staff Council to staff.council@usi.edu. We will showcase your efforts on our webpage during Student Worker Appreciation Week! Pictures can include: personalized decorations, heartfelt cards, student worker accomplishments (their major/minor, current semester, interests, awards, and club involvement). Don't forget about thoughtful gifts and social media shoutouts!
