Back-to-school reminders: Tobacco-Free Policy

As the 2025 Fall Semester kicks off, USI Today will share helpful reminders of University policies and benefits for employees! Please take the time to re-familiarize yourself with these policies as the campus community prepares for the beginning of the academic year.
It is the policy of the University of Southern Indiana to promote and maintain a clean and healthy working and learning environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors.
USI prohibits the use of all tobacco products including cigarettes; pipes; cigars; smokeless tobacco including snuff, chewing tobacco, smokeless pouches and loose-leaf tobacco; and all electronic vaping devices on University-owned, operated or leased property and vehicles (see the Handbook's Tobacco-Free Policy for the student housing exception). The use of all above mentioned products is permitted only inside personal vehicles.
