Inauguration parking and important event information

The Inauguration of President Steven Bridges as the fifth president of USI will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 16 in Liberty Arena, Home of the Screaming Eagles. In preparation of this event, certain parking areas on campus will be closed or limited to parking on Wednesday and Thursday, October 15-16:
Starting Wednesday, October 15:
- Lot P on the east side of Screaming Eagles Complex will be closed to all faculty, staff and student parking.
- Parking will only be allowed for service vehicles supporting the Presidential Inauguration event.
- Lot P will re-open Friday morning, October 17, for general parking.
On Thursday, October 16:
- Lots B and C will be reserved for Inauguration off-campus guest parking.
- Accessible spaces in the first bay of Lots B and C will remain available.
- Faculty, staff and commuter students will be directed to park in lots on the west and south sides of campus.
- Students who live in campus housing will be directed to remain parked in HRL lots and use METS campus transportation.
- Lots B and C will re-open for general parking after the Presidential Inauguration concludes at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 16.
Public Safety also reminds anyone attending the event that the University's policy on restricted items in Liberty Arena includes no weapons of any kind, no strollers, no umbrellas (must be left outside entry doors) and no outside food or beverages. Please do no bring personal water bottles. No backpacks, large purses or diaper bags will be allowed. Only small bags measuring no bigger than 14-inches by 14-inches by 6-inches will be allowed.
