The Student Life Office is looking for faculty and staff to help spread the word about a new opportunity for first-year and new transfer students.
The office is starting a brand-new program that invites first-year and new transfer students at USI to engage in an off-campus, leadership-focused retreat to be held at the YMCA’s Camp Carson in Princeton, Indiana, as a part of our new O’Daniel Leadership Academy. The First Year Leadership Retreat will be held from October 23-25 and give new students an opportunity to spend time in a new space, make connections with other students interested in holistic growth, learn from professionals about characteristics of leadership, participate in small groups led by student mentors and, of course, have fun!
Cost is $50 per student, and registration is open through October 9 or until the program reaches capacity, whichever comes first. Students may qualify for a retreat registration fee waiver if they meet one of the following criteria:
Are an Indiana 21st Century Scholar
Qualify for standardized test fee waivers
Are a military veteran or a dependent of a veteran
A Pell Grant Recipient
