Points of Pride

  • Students who earn degrees offered by our college consistently score above state and national averages on licensing exams. Many grads report employment immediately upon graduation and experience success in their professional fields.
  • The College of Nursing and Health Professions has established three Community Health Centers to increase primary healthcare services in the Evansville inner-city. All are staffed by nurse practitioners, who are faculty in the college.
  • The College of Nursing and Health Professions is home to the only doctoral program on campus – Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
  • The college is awarded over $3 million annually from local, state, and national grants. This allows us to offer a wide spectrum of interprofessional education activities, providing students from multiple disciplines opportunities to participate in collaborative projects, held in clinical settings and on campus in our state-of-the-art Clinical Simulation Center.
  • Students enrolled in our courses gain an understanding of the realities of healthcare through clinical experiences and internships at a host of medical facilities and social service agencies in the region, including Dedicated Education Units at Evansville’s two major hospitals, and the USI Dental Hygiene Clinic located on the USI campus.
