Rice Library workshops for March and April

Rice Library is once again hosting workshops to discuss resources available at the Library during the 2026 Spring Semester. No advance registration is required to attend and all workshops are virtual and free. Each session is 30 minutes in length and includes a Q&A. Below is the schedule for upcoming events and links to join:

March 2026
  • Scholarly Communication Virtual Desk Hour
    • 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 17
    • Drop in or join in the conversation to ask questions about scholarly communication resources and services such as copyright, Creative Commons License, open access funding and review, SOAR (Scholarly Open Access Repository), and any other topic that you have a question about!

  • Open Access Myths Busters
    • Noon to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, March
    • Bust the myths of open access during this session with time for discussion and conversation.

  • Best Practices: Web Accessibility
    • 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 7
    • Learn how to make your content accessible to everyone that is mandated by the World Wide Web Consortium and further codified in United States law. Resources and tips will be shared during this session.
