The Wall That Heals, Vietnam Veterans Memorial
Dates: October 29 - November 1, 2026
USI will be hosting The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, along with a mobile education center at the Broadway Recreational Complex on Broadway Avenue. The exhibit honors more than 3 million Americans who served in the U.S. armed forces in the Vietnam War.
Volunteer Details:
Must be age 18 or older.
Shifts are four hours in length and available during the day and overnight.
Nonprofit event organizer, Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, is asking for 200 volunteers from the community.

55th Annual Madrigal Feaste hosted by the University of Southern Indiana's Chamber Choir
Dates: December 3 - 6, 2026
Location: Carter Hall, located in University Center West on the USI Campus
Volunteers: coat checkers needed for check-in and check-out.
Volunteer process: Coat check will take coats for the guests and give them a ticket matching the hanger the coat goes on. Guests will claim their coats with their ticket after the performance.

Celebrate Recovery is a proven, Christ-centered, step-by-step program that addresses a wide range of struggles. CR provide a safe, structured path toward healing while reminding participants that change is possible for anyone willing to take the next step. You can help someone know they don't have to walk through recovery alone.

The Gathering Church Shopping Experience:
The church sets up a community grocery store-style outreach serving families in a food desert.

Set up - help prepare the space before guests arrive.
Serving/assisting shoppers - welcome guests and help them shop.
Take down/clean up - assist with breakdown and reset after the event.

Maximillian Bodmer Exhibition volunteers
Historic New Harmony needs help staffing the museum. They haven’t been able to keep regular hours due to limited staff. This would be a great alumni or student opportunity for those who studied art or history.

About Maximillian Bodmer Exhibition in New Harmony: The exhibit showcases works from Karl Bodmer, a Swiss artist who accompanied German explorer Alexander Philip Maximilian, Prince of Weid, in 1832-1834. They had an extended stay in New Harmony and then traveled the Missouri River to present-day Montana, documenting the American landscape and Indigenous peoples.
Chef Revival Ministries at The Dream Center:
Ongoing help is needed to prepare and package meals in the Dream Center's commissary kitchen for underserved individuals in the Jacobsville and Jimtown neighborhoods in Evansville.
