Congratulations on Completing a CAP Course!

There are a few things you should know and do once a USI CAP course is completed.

1. Make sure you have logged into myUSI and know how to view your final grade(s) and access your unofficial transcript. You will need your unofficial transcript for college orientation and class registration.

2. If you are not attending USI, you must have your official transcript sent directly from USI to your institution. Colleges will not accept a printout from a student as an official transcript. There is a charge for official transcripts.

Directions to Access an Unofficial Transcript

  1. Visit myUSI (my.usi.edu)
  2. Log in
    a. If this is your first visit to myUSI, you will need to both activate your account and set up Multifactor Authentication (MFA)
    b. Account activation directions are available here
  3. Once logged in, select the blue 'Self-Service' folder icon on the left
  4. From the main menu screen select 'Student’ and then ‘Student Records’
  5. Select 'Unofficial Transcript'
  6. Click 'Submit' (you do not need to select anything from the drop-down menus)
  7. Print

5. On the ‘Student Records’ screen, select ‘Request Official Transcript/View Order Status’
6. You will be redirected to Parchment.com where you will need to create an account with USI’s Parchment Transcript Ordering Portal. Your high school Parchment account will not work with USI records.
7. If you request your transcript before your official USI grade is posted to your student account, (mid-June for yearlong and spring courses), be sure to select ‘Hold for Grades.’ This means USI won’t send your official transcript until final grades have been posted to your record.

  1. Visit usi.edu/registrar/transcripts/
  2. Select the red box, halfway down, that reads ‘I do not have access to myUSI’
  3. Create an account with USI’s Parchment Transcript Ordering Portal. Your high school Parchment account will not work with USI records.
  4. If you request your transcript before your official USI grade is posted to your student account, (mid-June for yearlong and spring courses), be sure to select ‘Hold for Grades.’ This means USI won’t send your official transcript until final grades have been posted to your record.
