Historic New Harmony's tram will provide round-trip service from the Atheneum parking lot to Firefly Theater. Visitors will be dropped off at Firefly Theater where Amelia Wildeman, Nature Specialist from Harmonie State Park, will share her firefly knowledge. FREE
Join us for a special screening of the 2012 documentary, "Wonder: The Lives of Anna and Harlan Hubbard," on Saturday, June 28 at 3:30 p.m. in the Atheneum's Clowes Theater. This screening will offer attendees a unique glimpse into the fascinating story of artist and writer Harlan Hubbard and his wife, Anna. The director of the film, Morgan Atkinson, will be there to introduce the film and answer questions afterwards. FREE
"Driftwood: The Life of Harlan Hubbard" (on exhibit through July 12) paints a vivid portrait of maverick northern Kentucky artist and writer Harlan Hubbard and his wife, Anna, who are revered for the example they set for those who wish to create a simple life that embraces ecological consciousness and connection to place. While some may have heard of the Hubbards’ shantyboat journey on the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers, or their search for a quiet life at their home of Payne Hollow, few know the entire story.
