Orientation Leaders (OLs) are the heart of Screaming Eagles Orientation. They welcome new students, build friendships, and make a lasting impact at USI!
What do Orientation Leaders Do?
- Welcome new students and families to campus
- Answer questions about the University
- Provide insight to the college student experience
- Lead small groups of new students through the onboarding experience
- Help new students make connections with other students
- Lead activities for new students
- Share information with parents of new students
- Assist in setting up for orientation sessions
Position Qualifications
- Full-time, degree-seeking student (enrolled in at least 12 credit hours) at the University during the Spring term and registered for the following fall term
- A 2.75 cumulative grade point average from most recent school (college or high school) at the time of application and maintain that grade point average throughout employment

- $8.75 per hour for training and orientation days

Orientation Leader Training
- Mandatory training during spring semester (Tuesdays from 3-5 p.m.)
- Training day prior to each set of summer orientation sessions
