Graduate Fee Waiver

Graduate Fee Waiver

The CAP Graduate Fee Waiver was developed to assist current and prospective CAP instructors at both public and non-public schools in attaining the credentials required to offer dual credit coursework under the Higher Learning Commission’s faculty requirements. The Higher Learning Commission (HLC), USI’s regional accreditor, requires that faculty have either a master's degree in the discipline or a master's degree in a related area with 18 graduate hours in the discipline or sub-field.

USI offers graduate coursework in Communication Studies, English, History, Mathematics, and World Languages and Cultures. Visit the School of Graduate Studies for more information.

Teachers in need of a master's degree could receive funding for 18 graduate hours in the content area incorporated within the Masters of Education degree. Teachers interested in this option can complete an interest form so that the graduate program director and the CAP Office can best share resources for graduate hours and master's degree funding opportunities. Visit USI Teacher Education for information on degree programs for educators.
