Apartment Living, Your Way

Ready for more independence, more space, and a true campus‑living upgrade? USI Housing and Residence Life offers four apartment communities designed for sophomore through graduate‑level students (with limited availability for new incoming freshmen). Each community combines the freedom of apartment living with the convenience—and connection—of staying on campus.

O'Daniel South and O'Daniel North

The O’Daniel Apartments offer a dynamic, apartment‑style living experience for students who want independence without leaving the heart of campus. These neighboring communities combine convenience, privacy, and strong residential support—making them a favorite for upper‑class students.

O'Daniel South
Home to 650+ residents, O’Daniel South is the largest housing community on campus and a hub for student activity. Residents enjoy easy access to the Residence Life Resource Center, which includes the mail and package room—a major perk for busy schedules—as well as the Meditation Trail, a unique outdoor space ideal for relaxing, reflecting, or taking a break from the day.

With exterior entrances and split‑bedroom designs, O’Daniel South apartments provide a balance of independence and shared living, making them a great option for students who want space and flexibility while staying connected to campus life.

O’Daniel North
O’Daniel North is home to 600+ residents and offers a slightly quieter, more structured apartment experience while still being steps away from campus resources. This community houses the Housing and Residence Life Office (HRL), making support and assistance readily accessible. Students also benefit from community computers and a print station, perfect for quick academic tasks without heading across campus.

Like O’Daniel South, O’Daniel North features exterior door entrances and split‑bedroom layouts, giving residents privacy, convenience, and a true apartment feel—all within a supportive residential environment.
