Faculty to select
Criteria: To benefit teachers who are enrolled at the University of Southern Indiana in the master's degree program. May not be awarded to a graduating senior. Recipient must be enrolled during the upcoming academic year in order to receive this scholarship. May be re-awarded if the recipient continues to qualify.

Criteria: Award to a student who has experienced the death of one or both parents, is a U.S. citizen and full time student majoring in education. Recipient should be in good academic standing and maintain a 3.0 GPA. Renewable for up to three additional years if 3.0 GPA is maintained. May not be awarded to a graduating senior.

For teachers beginning a master's degree program in education.

For a deserving education major pursuing an associate or bachelor degree in early childhood education.

Criteria: Recipient must be a beginning early childhood student pursuing an associate degree in early childhood and must have completed at least 24 hours of college coursework toward degree. Recipient must have a 3.0 GPA and show a true financial need. Money must be used toward coursework, books and fees. Recipients must submit a typewritten essay describing a personal vision of an excellent early childhood education program to Dr. Jane Meyer, Chair of Selection Committee. May not be awarded to a graduating senior. Not renewable. Recipient must be enrolled during the upcoming academic year in order to receive this scholarship. Student Financial Assistance must validate need.

Criteria: Priority given to married students and graduates of Central High School with minimum high school GPA of 2.8 or higher. Must be an education major or minor with priority to elementary education. Renewable for up to three additional years with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and a successful completion rate of 66 percent of classes attempted. May not be awarded to a graduating senior. Recipient must be enrolled during the upcoming academic year in order to receive this scholarship.

For a deserving education major working in the field of early childhood and must have three years experience as an early childhood professional.

Criteria: Recipient must be currently working in the field of early childhood and must have three years experience as an early childhood professional. Recipients must show a demonstrated commitment to professional development. Money is to be used for coursework, books and fees at USI. Applicant must submit a typewritten essay describing a personal vision of an excellent early childhood education program to Dr. Jane Meyer, Chair of Selection Committee. May not be awarded to a graduating senior. Not renewable but recipient may be re-awarded if he/she still qualifies. Recipient must be enrolled during the upcoming academic year in order to receive this scholarship.
For a deserving education major from Gibson, Posey, Vanderburgh, or Warrick counties with personality and leadership potential. This is a one-time non renewable scholarship awarded to a current sophomore or junior education major.

Criteria: Award to a current second or third year education major with minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8. Permanent resident of Gibson, Posey, Vanderburgh or Warrick county. Financial need is a major consideration. Must meet reasonable standards of physical and emotional health, personality and leadership. If recipient withdraws from USI, the unused portion should be awarded to another qualified student. May not be awarded to a graduating senior. Recipient must be enrolled during the upcoming academic year in order to receive this scholarship. Not renewable. Student Financial Assistance must validate need.
For a junior or a senior with strong writing skills and a keen interest in teaching and community activities.

Strong skills in written expression. Interest in teaching. School and community activities. Not renewable but may be awarded for one additional year. May not be awarded to a graduating senior. Recipient must be enrolled during the upcoming academic year in order to receive this scholarship.

Criteria: Sophomore or higher class standing; scholarship; interest in teaching/professional education as a career; school and community activities. Recipient selected by a committee of Phi Delta Kappa members. May not be awarded to a graduating senior. Recipient must be enrolled during the coming academic year in order to receive this scholarship. Can be re-awarded if committee selects same recipient.

Criteria: Bosse High School senior with minimum 3.0 GPA enrolled at USI planning to enter math education, education, math related career or other. Automatically renewable with minimum 3.0 GPA. Award to high school senior and presented at Bosse. Recipient is recognized at the following Honors Week convocation. May not be awarded to a graduating senior. Recipient must be enrolled during the upcoming academic year in order to receive this scholarship.

For a member of the Student Education Association demonstrating scholastic excellence and school and community involvement.

Criteria: Member of organization; cumulative GPA of at least 3.0; interest in teaching (essay); school and community activities; references. May not be awarded to a graduating senior. Recipient must be enrolled during the upcoming academic year in order to receive this scholarship.
The program is designed to recruit science and mathematics teacher candidates from the large pool of students majoring in STEM fields (Secondary Teaching Eagles) and to recruit education majors who wish to minor in mathematics or science content (Elementary Teaching Eagles).
Criteria: Awarded by Three Arts Club every other year. Female upper-class student enrolled in field of education; school to select recipient. Recipient must have graduated from Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation. May not be awarded to a graduating senior. Recipient must be enrolled during the upcoming academic year in order to receive this scholarship. Not renewable. Possibly re-awarded.
